Constitutional Duties

 

  • To serve as the official spokesperson for the Ivy Council and;
  • To oversee all workings of the Ivy Council;
  • To call, prepare agendae for, and preside over meetings of the Steering Board;
  • To report to the Steering Board, to the Legislative Council, and to the Board of Governors on matters of interest and importance to the Ivy Council;
  • To prepare, in conjunction with the Vice President for Finance, an annual budget for the Ivy Council to be approved by the Steering Board at its annual spring meeting.
  • To interpret the Constitution, the By-Laws, and the rules of order of the Ivy Council;
  • To execute or assign for execution other such duties as consistent with the work of the Ivy Council including the performance or delegation of duties necessary to implement and execute any and all resolutions passed by the Steering Board, the Legislative Council, and/or the Board of Governors.

 

Additional Duties

 

  • Attend at least two of the three major annual conferences (Fall Colloquium, Ivy Leadership Summit, Spring Colloquium).
  • Miss no more than two weekly Steering Board meetings between the months of September and December, January and May.
