Requirements

 

  • Completed the Official Declaration of Candidacy Form. This is due no later than April 22, 2009 at 11:59 PM.
  • Be a registered undergraduate at one of the eight Ivy League Schools.
  • Be a member of the Ivy Council (e.g. through a school Ivy Council delegation or through projects).
  • Attended at least one Ivy Council Programs Conference (Fall or Spring Colloquium, Ivy Leadership Summit).
  • Fulfill all duties as outlined in the Constitution (i.e. the position descriptions) throughout the entire term, lasting from the 2009 Spring Colloquium to the 2010 Spring Colloquium.
  • May be off-campus (e.g. study abroad), but must effectively fulfill all duties of the position.
  • If applying for the Vice President for Policy, must be an official member of the candidate's school student government.

 

Voting Procedure

Candidates may NOT distribute anything other than campaign literature (e.g. no candy or other incentives). Candidates may not spend more than $30 on their campaigns. Proof of spending must be given to the candidate's Head Delegate prior to elections during registration, which will then be reviewed by the Vice President for Internal Affairs. Receipts must be given with demonstrated spending of less than $30.

Candidates who run unopposed must receive at least 60% of the total voting delegates’ votes.
